Narrator: Looking to improve your productivity? Here's some quick wins that will help you get organized and be more effective.
Just about every fitness influencer stresses that drinking a minimum of two liters of water a day is a smart choice, but this can often be more difficult to achieve than it sounds. Get yourself a refillable water bottle and mark one to two hour time slots on it. At a simple glance you'll know if your water intake is behind schedule. Drinking helps you in many ways including improved concentration and cognition.
Schedule time for emails. It's more productive to allocate a specific time of day for answering emails rather than switching between tasks. If you have an immediate answer, use instant messaging or the phone. Ignore notifications temporarily, don't let notifications rule your schedule. You can take control by putting your phone on silent or by placing it face down in a drawer.
Multitasking is a myth. We find it hard to focus on more than one thing at a time and to do them well. Rather than aiming for the impossible, simply create a to-do list and tick each item off with pride as you go.
Make your time count at work and remember to keep drinking that water.
