Aim
This exercise is an excellent way to kick off an exploration of planning for the future and its benefits for the organization. It involves discussion around a few broad, forward-looking questions.
This exercise is suitable for use with any size of group and revolves around discussion of team aspirations. However, the exercise can be easily adapted to tackle the future of departmental or organizational aspirations, or a particular product/service. It will take around 30 minutes to complete.
It is also useful as an individual exercise for eliciting personal aspirations and setting individual goals.
No separate task sheet is required.

What to Do (20 minutes)
Explain to your team that this exercise will help everyone form some common ideas on what they want to do as a team, department, or organization, and how they plan to do it.
Be ready to write the group’s answers on the flipchart (or ask for a volunteer). There should be a separate sheet for each question.
