Presenter: One of the most common interview questions is "Tell me about yourself?" This open-ended question can sometimes throw people. But it's a great opportunity to outline your suitability for the role.

Be aware that your answer can set the tone for the entire interview. So show confidence and enthusiasm.

A good tactic is to frame your answer by focusing on your past, present and future. Start by talking about your current position. Then talk about the skills you've gained from previous roles. Finish up by explaining how this job represents your next ideal career step.

This is also your chance to let the interviewer see more of your personality and interests. You could, for example, tell them about a past achievement you're proud of, or about a skill that you believe sets you apart from the competition.
